The site in Kollam
Our food-processing unit sits among the coconut groves of Kollam, Kerala, the home of India’s cashew trade. It is where nuts are steamed, shelled, peeled, graded and packed for export.

Steaming and shelling
Raw nuts are conditioned with steam so the shell cracks cleanly, then shelled by trained hands.

Grading by machine and by hand
Kernels are graded mechanically, then checked by our teams so every carton matches its grade.

From shell to kernel
The moment the kernel comes out of its shell, before peeling.

Peeling, sizing and sorting
Peeling machines, size graders and optical colour sorters bring consistency to every lot, with people checking the final sort.

Packed and ready
Vacuum-packed, cartoned and marked for its destination, then out of the gate to the port.
